hello.
i just did a first drawing of the structure.
basically, it's a box with "2-dimensional" structural pieces on its outside to which chicken wire can be attached to by using u-shaped tacks.

comments are welcome.

  1. i have enough 2x2 wood to build the structure.
are we planning on using some sort of hard board for the walls?
and what are the measurements to this in?

  2. in mm. the program added the decimal automatically. i took it out.

i think the 2x2 is only useful for securing the boards we are going to use as walls (jake should know more about what materials he wanted to use). we will also need some sort of boards which we are going to use for cutting the curves for the outer structure as it the shell of the pavillion is going to be round, right?

    i was wondering,
if we use only three walls for the back (as katie suggested to me) do you still want the roof to consist of 5 or 6 elements? this would be helpful if the outer shell is round. otherwise, if the inside only has a flat ceiling, we'd use more material to create the outer shell (which could be nice though).. what do you think?
